Volunteer recruitment and utilization is an important part of the Light Center concept. TLC believes in the countless benefits of volunteer service, benefits to the well-being of those who are served as well as those who volunteer. Able bodied senior volunteers are especially welcome, as well as confident equestrians and trainers.

Potential volunteers are asked to complete an application packet prior to acceptance into the volunteer program. Once completed, the Volunteer Coordinator will arrange a tour and meet with you personally to discuss volunteer opportunities and scheduling. Volunteers should be able bodied and comfortable in a farm setting.

*Court Ordered Community Service

The Light Center is also a recognized cooperative agency for youth and adults who are required to serve community service hours as dictated by court order. For scheduling & application information, call the Light Center volunteer coordinator at 815-923-2613.
